Michelle's love for the piano began at age 10. Piano was always an enjoyable way for Michelle to express herself and her love for music. Her experience with the piano prompted her to pursue gaining skills in the saxophone, guitar, and voice. Michelle followed her love of music and interest in the health field by earning a music therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Music therapy uses music as a tool or motivation to reach non-musical goals. Music therapists also creatively adapt instruments or musical notation to increase knowledge and/or participation. Michelle currently works as a music therapist, where she plays piano and guitar on a daily basis. For the past 15 years, Michelle has had the pleasure of teaching piano and guitar to children and adults. As a music therapist, she has experience teaching students with a range of abilities. She has a special affinity for working with children who need adapted lessons of any kind. Michelle enjoys teaching, guiding, and motivating students as they grow in their musical abilities and in their enjoyment of playing the piano or guitar.
