Forrest

Forrest grew up in a musical family in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He started playing the piano when he was 8 years old, then took up the guitar and bass at age 15. He studied music production at the University of North Alabama for 4 years before switching to a different major. However, he still loves to write, play, record, and teach music!

Forrest taught piano and guitar for over 6 years in Berlin, Germany primarily to kids ages 4-13 and a few adults too. Now he’s in the Twin Cities and looks forward to teaching the joys of music to new students. He especially likes working with children and creating positive core memories.

Music teachers are often the first impression their students associate with music, so he does not take that responsibility lightly. He’s heard far too many stories of negative experiences with music teachers and likes to ask, “If you’re not having fun learning, then what’s the point?”
